The Diocese of Arlington has given approval for St. Leo's to proceed with plans for the renovation of Providence Hall, the facility on our parish property which has been home for many years to our Knights of Columbus.
Providence Hall began its life as classrooms for St. Leo's School many years ago, well before our current school was built, so it is indeed a venerable facility. As usually happens, with the wear and tear of years, it has reached the point where sprucing up has become necessary.
The Knights of Columbus have prepared a rough draft of improvements to be made -- which will increase the size of the building by over twelve hundred square feet.
The "wish list" includes enlarging the bathrooms and making them handicap-accessible; expanding and updating the kitchen and its appliances; and replacing the heating system and updating the air conditioning.
Providence Hall is heavily used by K of C groups, parish and school groups and diocesan organizations. The Knights also make it available for receptions and parties.
As the planning process gets started, most likely this coming spring, we will provide periodic updates on the progress. These renovations are made possible through the generosity of St. Leo's Parish to our Capital Campaign. Thank you for your support!
