Farewell to Father Kelly and Father McGraw

Jun 14, 2007
Father Kelly, our wonderful Pastor, and Father McGraw, our wonderful Parochial Vicar, will be leaving St. Leo's in the wave of transfers that occur at this time of the year.

Father Kelly has been assigned as Pastor at St. Veronica's Parish in Chantilly. Father McGraw will be going to St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception in Fredericksburg.

For those who wish to send cards, here are the new addresses:
Father John D. Kelly
St. Veronica Parish
3460 Centreville Rd.
Chantilly, VA 20151

Father Stephen F. McGraw
St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Parish
1009 Stafford Ave.
Fredericksburg, VA 22401

Our new pastor will be Father David Whitestone, a canon lawyer who has been Judicial Vicar for the Diocese of Arlington. Our new Parochial Vicar will be Father Tarsicio Buitrago, a Spanish-speaking priest from Columbia who will minister to our very active St. Leo's Spanish community and to the English-speakers as well, as did Father McGraw.

Good-byes are very sad occasions, but we look forward to new and blessed times with our new holy priests.
